Neon Dance offer paid Cultural Connector roles to young people aged 16-24.

Since 2016 we have invited creative self-starters aged 16 - 24 to record and describe Neon’s work on their own terms. Selected through an open call process, we offer mentoring, opportunities to join us in the studio alongside a bespoke framework of support and company access.

Alma Kremnitzer

Alma Kremnitzer is a 17 year old aspiring contemporary dancer. She currently trains at Swindon Contemporary Centre for Advanced Training and is an associate of Watkins Dance Company. She is interested in combining her interest in politics and dance in the future through creating an anarchist dance company. As well as this, she is interested in poetry and spoken word which is something she has explored through her cultural connector project. She enjoys exploring movement which mixes animalistic and pedestrian qualities.

Paul Davidson

Paul is a contemporary and street dance choreographer and dance artist. Based in South London. He is currently a BA dance student studying a degree course at London Contemporary Dance School. Paul has worked with NYDC Alumni (2016-2019) performed at Sadler’s Wells and across the country on tour and also worked with Corali dance company as a performer and teaching assistant with Corali Kick Up Youth. He has choreographed a number of dance films and an inclusive dance film project called Escape the Nowhere involving Tin Arts, Wheel Fever, Corali and NYDC.

Deepraj Singh

Deepraj was awarded a scholarship to train at London Contemporary Dance School and graduated with a first in 2015. He has continued working as a freelance dancer and toured internationally. Deepraj draws upon his urban dance techniques when creating pieces, which are rhythmically explorative and emotionally driven. The use of improvisation is prominent within his work, representing the authenticity of human experience. He makes pieces that are accessible on both an emotional and physical level to a wide variety of audiences.

Kiera Sanderson

Kiera is a dance movement artist based in Falmouth, UK. She recently graduated with a first class honours degree in Dance and Choreography from Falmouth University. Her physical practice has a surreal nature, drawing on uncanny influences and subconscious desires of human nature. Her interest in human connection and the primitive instincts within us act as inspiration to create work. As a keen performer, Sanderson has worked with artists such as Emily Alden, Carleen Anderson and Yskynna Vertical Dance to create a variety of live, site-specific and filmed work.

Liliom Valter

Liliom is 17 and in the early stages of her dance career, currently training at Swindon Dance Centre for Advanced Training, and Bristol’s Boomsatsuma. Throughout her training Liliom has had various performance opportunities with several UK based choreographers and artists including a project with Adrienne Hart and the visual artist Ana Rajcevic. She also has a keen interest in developing her own choreographic voice through independent creative projects and various mediums such as film.
