Based on the ground-breaking 1930 novel by Olaf Stapledon, Last and First Men is set to the backdrop of Jóhann Jóhannsson’s 16mm black and white film, with narration from Tilda Swinton and original score by Jóhannsson and Yair Elazar Gotman.
Beyond Body & Things | 2022
‘Beyond Body and Things’ by Neon Dance is a performance installation work that explores social connectivity and collaboration using bio-inspired robotics. A collaboration with Bristol Robotics Lab, the work premiered at the Setouchi Art Triennale in Japan.
Prehension Blooms | 2022
Expressive bio-robots, contemporary dance and music set in a desert scene other world. Prehension Blooms is a 50-minute performance work that connects the lonely, across space and time, and channels the obsolete word ‘loneliness’; the state of being one.
Puzzle Creature | 2018 / 2019
A multi-disciplinary dance work inspired by the death-eluding architecture designs of Arakwara and Madeline Gins. Neon Dance presented two iterations of Puzzle Creature, an indoor 60-minute version (premiere Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale 2018) that took place inside an inflatable dome and a site specific / outdoor version (premiere Setouchi Art Triennale 2019) that functioned as a 45-minute performance or series of 5-10 minute performance encounters.
A re-telling of the Jataka tale Mahajanaka created in collaboration with music composer and producer Sebastian Reynolds and the Thai dance artist Pichet Klunchun.

Stages | 2013
Neon Dance worked with filmmaker Ian William Galloway to create a short film featuring dance artist Katie Lusby at the Welsh Chapel in London. The team responded to the building's changing function through the years, from a place of worship through to a creative space for new ideas as a derelict art squat.

Archived’it is an experimental HTML5 and JavaScript project that allowed anyone to create their own version of ‘‘Dance on Steps’’, a dance film from 1934, re-imagined to a soundtrack provided by the acclaimed Icelandic composer Ólafur Arnalds.
