Chris Sharp (Chair)
Chris Sharp is Contemporary Music Programmer at the Barbican in London.
He spent the first part of his career working for independent labels, including Rough Trade, Beggars Banquet and XL Recordings, becoming Managing Director of 4AD in 2000.
Chris swapped recorded music for live concerts when he moved to the Barbican in 2008; the first show he worked on was Drifting And Tilting, a multi-artist performance of music by Scott Walker. Since then, he has programmed hundreds of events, with a particular focus on new commissions and creative collaborations.
Margaux Berard (Deputy Chair)
Margaux has a Master in Management and a Master of Science in Finance from Grenoble Ecole de Management. She has held various roles in Risk Management in banking institutions since 2013, mainly covering operational and liquidity risks, and focusing on stress testing.
In her free time, Margaux is passionate about the Arts, in particular dance and ballet, and was first introduced to Neon Dance’s work in 2014 through the Young Professionals on Arts Boards programme coordinated by Arts and Business. She has been a keen supporter of Adrienne’s work since then and joined the board in 2019. Margaux was born in France and has been living in London since 2013.
Lucy Shaw
Lucy Shaw is the founder and director of Cultural Associates Oxford. She is a cultural entrepreneur who specialises in strategic leadership, organisational change, workforce diversity, and inclusive engagement.
Lucy works for the University of Oxford, where she is Programme Director for Oxford Cultural Leaders (OCL) - an international executive leadership programme for museums, heritage and the arts, which she launched in 2015 in partnership with the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
Lucy is also Head of Programmes and Partnerships at the University’s Gardens, Libraries and Museums Division (GLAM).
Gemma Levett
Gemma Levett is Associate Director of Public Engagement for the UK’s Science Museum Group (SMG) and a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Arts. Prior to joining SMG, Gemma worked in the USA, Canada and Australia as the General Manager for Arts and Exhibitions International before joining London’s Natural History Museum.
Gemma has a passion for the arts and cultural sector. Her work has enabled world-class collections, content, interpretation and principles of Science Capital to reach new audiences across the globe. Gemma is particularly passionate about breaking down the perceived barriers between Art and Science.
Richard Barnett
Richard is a commercial, intellectual property and technology lawyer specialising in contract negotiation, brands and data protection in the cultural sector. He is currently the Head of Legal at the National Gallery and was previously General Counsel at the Science Museum Group.
