Chris Sharp

Chair

Chris (he/him) spent the first part of his career working for independent labels, including Rough Trade, Beggars Banquet and XL Recordings, becoming Managing Director of 4AD in 2000.

Chris swapped recorded music for live concerts when he moved to the Barbican in 2008; the first show he worked on was Drifting And Tilting, a multi-artist performance of music by Scott Walker. Since then, he has programmed hundreds of events, with a particular focus on new commissions and creative collaborations.

Margaux Berard

Deputy Chair

Margaux (she/her) has a Masters in Management and a Masters of Science in Finance from Grenoble Ecole de Management. She has held various roles in Risk Management in banking institutions since 2013, mainly covering operational and liquidity risks, and focusing on stress testing. In her free time, Margaux is passionate about the Arts, in particular dance and ballet, and was first introduced to Neon Dance’s work in 2014 through the Young Professionals on Arts Boards programme coordinated by Arts and Business. She has been a keen supporter of Adrienne’s work since then and joined the board in 2019.

Lucy Shaw

Lucy (she/her) is the founder and director of Cultural Associates Oxford (CAO). She is a cultural entrepreneur who specialises in strategic leadership, organisational change, workforce diversity, and inclusive engagement. She has grown CAO into a thriving creative company with an extensive portfolio, undertaking work across the globe with diverse clients. Lucy is also currently the Programme Director for the Saïd Business School’s Strategic Leadership Programme, one of top executive leadership programmes in the world, convening senior C-Suite executive leaders from across the globe in an experiential, immersive and creative space.

Richard Barnett 

Richard (he/him) is a commercial, intellectual property and technology lawyer specialising in contract negotiation, brands and data protection in the cultural sector. He is currently General Counsel at the National Gallery and was previously General Counsel at the Science Museum Group.

Nelisha Wickremasinghe

Nelisha (she/her) is a chartered psychologist, author and educator. She is the founding director of the Dialogue Space and an associate fellow of Oxford Said Business School and the British Psychological Society. Nelisha’s brings clinical perspective and practice into organisational development and for the last thirty years her work has taken her across the globe to support the growth of emotionally and relationally healthy individuals, families, teams and organisations. Nelisha also founded a successful organic food and restaurant business; was a board member of the Food Standards Agency, The Watershed Arts Trust and the Chew Magna Community farm and for ten years, was a clinical and management lead in the mental health and social care sector. www.thedialoguespace.co.uk

Ben Sullivan

Ben (he/him) is the CEO and co-founder of The Reverse Mentoring Practice, a company that helps leaders be more culturally humble through reverse mentorship. He also consults with tech companies on revenue architecture, commercial and go-to-market strategies, and inclusive growth plans. His three daughters question his suitability for this role, "But you can’t dance, Dad!"

Gurchetan Singh

Gurch (he/him) is a South West-based Director/ Self Shooter who has experience of working in various sectors from broadcast to award-winning short films also mentoring our graduate returner programme, Create Futures. He was Lead Artist on SEE ME TOO, delivering amazing, lyrical exhibition pieces for Create’s social history projects, as well as our corporate productions from Chelsea FC to National Trust and more. He brings his experience of the Production Sector and Skills Development to his role as Creative Director. www.createstudios.org.uk
