Created as a quick response to offer support for South West Creative Technology Network’s alumni whose livelihoods have been impacted by Covid-19, Lessons from Now is a new fund which has been designed to enable practice to continue during unprecedented times. Neon Dance received support from the SWCTN in 2019 in order to spend a month-long residency exploring and researching ideas for ‘Prehension Blooms’, a new production due to premiere in 2021. We are happy to announce that we are one of 3 projects selected in the first round of the Lessons from Now fund to continue developing the project, experimenting with the use of motion trackers in performance and translating this into soft robotics.
